Is Jenny Craig a SCAM?

WARNING: If You're Thinking About Spending A Lot Of Money On Jenny Craig, Then This May Be The Most Important Page You'll Ever Read!

I know what you are worried about. You're asking yourself about the High Jenny Craig cost? You've heard about the expensive Jenny Craig food prices and so, you're wondering "Where can I find Jenny Craig foods?" and "How much does Jenny Craig cost?". You want honest Jenny Craig reviews, so you can make the right decision for yourself. I've been there, so I understand, and I sympathize.

Jenny Craig is expensive. This is without question, the most common complaint made by people in reviews of this diet system. I'll be honest, and admit that right up front. Fortunately, there is a proven way to get all the benefits of Jenny Craig - without the high cost.

More on exactly how to do that in just a moment, but first here is something else you really need to know...

If you're like me, you have been very concerned about those constant extra pounds you've been putting on, year after year. Especially once you hit age 30. When my sister and I hit 40, we finally decided to put a stop to those ugly extra pounds - the extra pounds you hate to look at in the mirror, too!

Think for a moment... about how much better your life would be, if you just get rid of those unwanted extra 10 pounds, 20 pounds... or even 50-100 pounds. Picture in your mind, how much more attractive you would look. Think about all the compliments people would give you (instead of the disgusted looks they give you now). Think about how much better your health would be. I understand what you're feeling, because that is what my sister and I thought about, all the time.

But does JC work?

And even if it does, how much does it cost??

Jenny Craig Cost

The Jenny Craig way of doing things, is to restrict you to eating their pre-packaged meals. And you can only buy those prepared meals from them - at Jenny Craig food prices, of course.

In fact, the profit motive appears to be the leading motive for these packaged meals. Their "consultant" even told my sister, that we would need to use these packaged meals if we went on vacation. Jenny Craig reviews have confirmed that they tell you this, because the "consultant" gets a commission for every packaged meal you buy, of course.

Not that the costs stop there. There's the "registration" fee. And the "counseling" fees. And later, the continuing "membership" fees. And of course, the packaged foods you have to buy at Jenny Craig food prices. Plus shipping, of course. And then, on top of all that, you have to add more food costs for the "normal" foods they insist you buy (recommended vegetables, fruits, etc).

Yes, you can see for yourself, that the cost of Jenny Craig foods are much higher than most other weight loss plans.

How Much Does Jenny Craig Cost?

In addition to the registration fee (which changes frequently), you are told that you must choose between the "gold" or "platinum" memberships - which at the time I'm writing this, costs $200 and $300 respectively. A "lifetime" membership costs even more.

Your food costs, just to follow their basic plan, will add at least $100 per week to your household budget - per person. However, most people report in Jenny Craig reviews, that they spend as much as $150-$175 per week, extra.

Which means for the first year, with the various fees plus the $400-$700 per month food costs, you're looking at $5000-$9000 for each person on the plan - Ouch!!

That was the main reason my sister quit Jenny Craig, after about 9 months. After spending over $4000, she decided it would be much smarter to find a less expensive way to lose weight - and save her money!

I had waited to see if the plan worked for her, so I wasn't on it as long as she was. And we did lose some weight. But when I saw it cost her over $4000 to lose 40 pounds - over $100 per pound - I decided there must be a cheaper way to do the same thing. And there is. More on that in a moment, but there are some other things you need to know about Jenny Craig... continue reading...
